Scroll down to Appendix 1, starting at page 23 - Windows Sound Effects. Would you recommend that I go back and not make it my default? And if I did then how can I get it to work? Since this is a dedicated computer for just this and other radio things I felt it was okay to do this. How can I use the codec speaker without making it my default? Nothing else seemed to allow it to work. All that I could think of was a problem with the computer settings (which seemed to be what I was also hearing from the group). I went thru (i thought) each program and checked the settings as recommended. Was there something I should or could have done different? I tried everything kenwood said to do, both in the manual and the digital manual. Of course, as of right now I haven’t made (or tried to)any qsoʻs. I haven’t tried the other programs, this was on dm780. It may not be recommended but I can’t argue with the fact that it now works (or seems to). Since people said I needed to set levels and such, which it didn’t allow me to do until I made the codec the default. I went into the sound setting of the computer (hp pavilion, win 7) two speakers listed, the “normal” computer speaker (default) and the audio codec. No I can’t do a screen shot, different computer. I don’t want to confuse anyone either…Iʻm confused enough…………. I don’t want to confuse anyone either…Iʻm confused enough………….no I can’t do a screen shot, different computer.
